Seán writes about: Media

Seán Wood is CEO at Positive News, the online and print magazine for good journalism about what’s going right in the world.

He is passionate about how the media and business can be a force for good. In 2016, Seán relaunched Positive News after leading a crowdfunded share offer that transformed it into an organization owned by readers worldwide. Previously editor-in-chief, he moved to the role of CEO in 2020.

Seán also cofounded the Constructive Journalism Project, which operated between 2014 and 2020 to help establish constructive and solutions journalism as a field of practice. He has trained journalists and presented on media innovation at events internationally, and has been featured by press including The Guardian, BBC and The New York Times.

Seán is a member of the BMW Foundation’s responsible leaders network and a fellow of the RSA.

Media doesn’t just mirror society. It also moves it.
