Yancey Strickler is a writer and entrepreneur. He’s the founder of The Bento Society, the cofounder of Kickstarter, a Distinguished Fellow at the Drucker Institute, and the author of This Could Be Our Future: A Manifesto for a More Generous World. Yancey cofounded the artist resource The Creative Independent, the record label eMusic Selects, and is an angel investor in startups including Hopin, Mati, Realtime, System, and Wren. Yancey began his career as a music critic in New York City writing for Pitchfork, Spin, and The Village Voice, and grew up on a farm in Clover Hollow, Virginia. He lives with his family in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Just as our ancestors did, it’s our responsibility to keep pushing forward the human experience, seeking ways to better it for generations to come.
